- 13 February - Robotech: The Shadow Chronicles Soundtrack was released.
- Robotech: The Shadow Chronicles released on DVD.
- 26 March - Bill Capizzi passed away.
- 6 September - Palladium Books announced the planned Robotech new role playing games had been finalised.
- 7 September - The Hollywood Reporter revealed that Warner Bros. had acquired the film rights to Robotech, and would be producing a live-action film based off of it. After years of stalling, the rights to franchise would move to Sony Enternainment in 2015, who would begin work on their own Live Action Movie.
