• March, the Zentraedi Malcontent Uprisings begin. Admiral Henry Gloval orders the forced relocation of the Zentraedi to where they can be monitored more closely.
• May, the Robotech Masters conclude that their Zentraedi have been destroyed and depart for Earth.
• May, Khyron rises to power among the Zentraedi Malcontents.
• June, a combined Earth-Zentraedi force succeeds at capturing a Robotech Factory Satellite and transport it to Earth.
• July, Khyron's forces capture a protoculture sizing chamber.
• December, Khyron's forces capture a Protoculture Storage Matrix.
• 25 December - Khyron attacks New Macross City. (Masters Saga: "Season's Greetings")

• Robotech: The Complete Set (20-Disc Collection) is released.
• Dynamite Entertainment purchased the rights to make comics from DC Comics.
• 23 July - Robotech: Love Live Alive! was officially released on DVD on the Robotech 2 Movie Collection, along with rereleases of Robotech: The Shadow Chronicles and Robotech 3000.
• 24 December - Dynamite Entertainment releases Robotech/Voltron 1, the first Robotech comic in 7 years.
