Lieutenant Alexander Romero was a Wolf Squadron Veritech fighter pilot and the wingman of Marcus Rush. He was killed during the Fourth Robotech War.

Background[]
Romero was born during the Pioneer Expedition to the Local Group of Fantoma. In his teenage years, he and his friend Marcus Rush joined the Robotech Academy on Tirol, with him joining to impress girls while Marcus did it to avenge his older sister Marlene Rush who perished during the second attempt to reclaim Earth.
Sometime after graduating from the academy, they were recruited into Jack Baker's Wolf Squadron, and most likely saw action against the Invid during the final stages of the Sentinels War.
Third Robotech War[]
Following the REF Civil War, he and Marcus were put under the command of Daryl Taylor as part of the Third Reclamation force to Earth. During the travel back to Earth, they were stationed on Space Station Liberty for some time.
Sometime later, they were stationed on Moon Base ALUCE where they were sent on a scouting mission to the wrecks of the destroyed Earth Reclamation fleets. Upon returning to the base, he saw Marcus ogling a pink-haired girl doing maintenance on a Alpha Fighter with him encouraging Marcus to go flirt with her only for Marcus to refuse. Later, on the eve of the Battle of Reflex Point, he pushed Marcus into flirting with the pink-haired girl on their way to their Alpha Fighters, only for the girl to respond with amusement, leading to him stating jockingly that Marcus was hopeless with girls.
He fought on the frontlines during the final battle with the Invid were he shot down multiple Invid fighters. However, once the tide of battle turned against the REF, he opposed the use of the Neutron-S missiles on Earth to defeat the Invid.
Following the evacuation of the Invid from Earth, he returned to Moon Base ALUCE as one of the few survivors of Wolf Squadron, which were integrated with Maia Sterling's Skull Squadron.

When Skull Squadron was assigned to the Icarus and sent to investigate the communications blackout from Space Station Liberty, he became witness to the destruction of the REF Liberty Fleet and was part of the Battle of Space Station Liberty when the station was being evacuated to the Ark Angel. During the battle, he got cocky and attempted to destroy a squadron of Haydonite starfighters using his Alpha Fighter's Synchro Cannon, however, a direct hit from one of the starfighters would cause his Alpha Fighter's systems into critical failure. Due to not being able to eject, he decided to fly towards the Haydonite fighters, with his fighter's explosion destroying the entire squadron.
