Annie LaBelle was a free-spirited, talkative orphan who joined Scott Bernard's resistance group during the Third Robotech War. She was nicknamed Mint due to her affection for Peppermint Candy. During the third Earth Reclamation mission, the rebels were instrumental in convincing the Regess to depart.
In the years after the end of the conflict, she grew into a young woman. Traveling around, she found her way to the special city of Belmont and became involved in the controversies there.
In 2046 Annie encountered Demont Vaudell who was accused by the Mordecai Mind of hiding Flesh Breakdown which prevented the Xalon Process from affecting the user. The accusations were false as the Mind had an attraction to her and she had refused him and had created a defective clone of her called Vaudell-Sync who made another clone called a Spleen as her own body bank. Annie interfered with Gilles Vaudell trying to get back Demont and was captured but almost died from protoculture contamination she had when young caught up to her and had an out of body experience. She was saved from a heart tumor by the Xalon Process but wouldn't age for 20 years. Vaudell-Sync killed the Mordecai mind and ended herself by jumping from the SDF-Mordecai 's Gun Tower.
