The Explorer Corps was a branch of the Robotech Expeditionary Force introduced during the conflict with the Invid Regent to adapt to alien situations and also asses those environments. They were multi-disciplinary scientists who could make sense of the galaxy, and operate independently or part of a team. Exploration Specialists were the core of the organization. They were left behind during the Third Earth Reclamation Force mission, and now spearhead the search for the missing SDF-3.
