A flamethrower was a mechanical incendiary device designed to project a long, controllable stream of fire. Certain Destroids were known to use flamethrowers during the First Robotech War such as the Destroid Spartan and Destroid Tomahawk. During the Second Robotech War, the Army of the Southern Cross were known to have had flamethrowers in their bases. (Masters Saga: "The Hunters")
