Garak was a male Invid who served in the forces of the Regent during the war against the Robotech Masters.
By the conquest of Tirol, he served as a scientist and was stationed at the Hive on Garuda. He along with fellow scientist Pyre were both part of the scientific staff at the facility. When the Sentinels attacked Garuda, the two scientists were captured by the resistance forces and placed aboard the SDF-7 as prisoners of war. When questioned by the Humans, they revealed that they knew nothing of why Praxis exploded.
Afterwards, the Sentinel leaders decided to use Garak, Pyre and Tesla in hostage negotiations with the Regent on Haydon IV in order to retrieve Rem who had been captured by the Invid. Garak and Pyre were in the prison hold when Burak gave the pure fruit of the Flower of Life to Tesla who ate them. This act shocked the two Invid scientists who told the Perytonian that such an act was forbidden. However, they decided to eat them in order to stave off starvation but an angry Tesla would kill the two instead as he did not wish to share the fruits with them.
