An alien species existed as a gas and used asteroid-like spaceships. They were encountered throughout the Tirolian Republic, causing Karbarran miners to spread rumors. During the Pioneer Expedition, the Sentinels encountered such a ship. The aliens mind-controlled several members in order to steal plans from the Farrago.
