The Horizon-T class dropships were a type of vessel developed by the United Earth Forces by the time of the Third Robotech War. The SDF-7 recovery ship was of the class. These craft were used by the Earth Reclamation Forces where they suffered a high casualty rate at the hands of the Invid during atmospheric re-entry at Earth.
History[]
The Horizon-T dropship was 62 meters long, had a wingspan of 67 meters, and a height of 21 meters. It carried under its belly two Veritech fighers, which could detach from the dropship. The ship itself lacked weapons, therefore the two fighters were both its offensive and defensive weapon systems. Under the wings were two armored supply bunkers, that could be detached from the shuttle and dropped. They could carry mecha, vehicles, troops, and/or supplies.
An updated version of the starship known as the Horizon-V class dropships was later produced by the Robotech Expeditionary Force.
