Introduction is a four-part backup story in Robotech: Variants, part of Antarctic Press' Robotech comic series. It follows the story of a research vessel from UN Moon Base Four as it investigates an Invid Hive as the invasion starts. They crashland on Earth and then investigate a crater. They discover an Invid hatchery and take several to study. They discover that the Flower of Life DNA has invaded everyone and try to send out a warning before the Invid approach.
