The Invasion of Tirol was the event in the 2020s when Tirol was attacked by the forces of the Invid Regent in an attempt to reclaim the stolen Flower of Life. Unbeknownst to him, the Flower was in the Protoculture Matrix onboard the SDF-1 and had been sent to Earth years prior by Zor Derelda. As the Robotech Masters had left the planet after losing contact with the Zentraedi they sent to recover the Matrix, only the old and weak and sick were left behind with a number of Bioroids and other defenses. After the Invid forces crushed the resistance, the Regent departed and left other Invid in charge with the Invid Brain managing the Inorganics. When the Robotech Expeditionary Force arrived they battled the Invid and eventually shut down the Brain to stop the Inorganics, before the Sentinels arrived.
