J. Jay Smith was an actor, known for Max Headroom (1987), Robotech: Love Live Alive (2013) and The Making of Robotech: Love Live Alive (2013). Robotech saga. Due to union restrictions, he was credited as "Jean-Claude Ballad". For many years, it was believed that he had died in a car accident and thus was no longer available. However, he was rediscovered years later, and worked on Robotech: Love Live Alive.
