According to one source, Jenkins was one of the men who was sent into the SDF-1 to investigate the ship after it crash landed on the Earth in 1999. During the search of his group, he and a few of his peers noticed a series of Bioroids following them in the halls. They tried to alert Gloval and Edwards to their presence discreetly. He was killed moments later when the Bioroids began firing. (Robotech: The Graphic Novel)
