Karbarra was a planet that orbited Yirrbisst within the Local Group and was the homeworld of the ursine Karbarran species. It was home to a number of floating crystal fish and snakes whose heads mimicked the shapes of minerals with both these animals residing in the underground streams.
Long ago, it was known that the enigmatic being known as Haydon visited the world where he was said to had gifted the native race the secrets of Sekiton ore. Beyond this, the only other item that suggested his involvement in the planet as a giant statue monument in his shape which the Karbarrans would regularly visit. In their rise to development, the Karbarrans became well known for being an industrious species and had an extensive mine system on their planet. During the reign of the Robotech Masters, the planet was conquered by the Invid horde of the Regent. Knowing that the Karbarrans would not surrender, the Invid forces would hold the planet's children hostage and force the natives to serve them. In time, an Invid Brain was installed in the planetary garrison and it controlled the army of Inorganics that kept order on this world. During the formation of the Sentinels, the band of resistance fighters worked in conjunction with the Robotech Expeditionary Force to liberate Karbarra. Its freedom allowed the Karbarrans to lend their industrial might to the REF's cause and they helped build a fleet for the Human forces.
