The man known as "Locke" was a Human soldier who later became one of the first Invid science experiments, as he was turned into an Invid with his memories gone.
History[]
Human Soldier[]
The man who was to become Locke participated in the first attempt to liberate Earth from the Invid. In his same company was Lancer Belmont. At the time, he was in a relationship with a girl named Tasha, who was sad to see him go on the mission. Locke insisted on going to complete his mission, but promised to stay safe, with Tasha joking "don't make me come after you."
During the attack, His Horizon-T class dropship crashed near Reflex Point after the Invid shot it down. As the reclamation force collapsed, he and his team made it near the Invid Hive, being cut down one by one as they neared the main structure. The sole survivor, he tried to force his way inside, but a force shield went up. He was quickly surrounded by three Invid Troopers and killed. The Regess then took possession of his corpse for experiments.
Invid Hybrid[]
Years later, his body was resurrected and he was turned into an Invid Humanoid. Sent to understand the ways of humanity, he succumbed to the same effects as Ariel, and lost all memory of his orders or his purpose. Thrown from an Invid ship, he survived the fall, and was taken in by a group of resistance fighters. Upon discovering that he had amnesia, the team allowed him to keep the armor and name of another soldier: the original Locke who was killed in front of him by human raiders. The new "Locke" joined the resistance under the command of Silas and fought in many battles against the Invid.
As the REF arrived for the Battle of Reflex Point, he forced his way into the hive. He was confronted by fellow Humanoid Xed and several REF special forces using the VR-101P "Shadow Dancer" Cyclone. Afterwards, during the final confrontation between him and Xed, the Invid evacuated as the Neutron-S Missiles were inbound. Locke and Xed were both taken with the Regess to an unknown destination. Behind the Scenes[]
- There are technically three endings to Invasion, two of which result in Locke's death. However, it can be safely assumed that the ending in which Locke is taken with the Invid is the "good" and thus true ending, due to it lining up with the rest of the Third Robotech War. Despite this, this wikia aims to avoid confusion by including all three endings as different accounts.
