Senator Longchamps was a member of the Plenipotentiary Council during the Pioneer Expedition. When the council was deciding what to do about the Zentraedi theft of Monopole Ore and subsequent escape, T.R. Edwards suggested that Exedore and Emil Lang not be given a voice as they were friends of Rick Hunter and might do anything to help him and The Sentinels. Senator Longchamps shot down those allegations but said The Sentinels had become a dangerous element and put the choice of siding with Edwards plan of making 4 new ships to hunt down the Zentraedi and destroy them to a vote. In the end, the council voted in favor of Edwards plan.
