Lory Hill was a woman who worked as a waitress at the Flyer Diner in the years following the end of the Global War on Macross Island. She helped out the Cadets who were at the Robotech Academy through being a sympathetic ear and offering advice. She seemed to have an interest in Rolf Emerson who reciprocated those feelings. (Robotech: Academy Blues) She perished when a box with an explosive charge intended for someone else was opened in her Diner. (Robotech: Breaking Point: Cadet Lisa Hayes Special)
She was a childhood friend of Lisa Hayes and they grew up together during the Global War, but hoped Lisa wouldn't join the military. Despite Lisa joining, she was still friends with her but wasn't too keen on her friends in the forces at first. She also hoped Lisa would stand up to her Father and not let him run her life, but Lisa explained it wasn't that simple. (Robotech: Return To Macross: Sorry I Missed You) She was a musician as well, and performed "The Devil's Playground" in 1999, though the Grammy later went to Sara Johnson's cover version. In June of 2005 Nina Lang came by to talk with Claudia at the Flyer Diner and Lory says she enjoyed Nina's new music video, only to back peddle when Claudia expressed displeasure at it.(Robotech: Return To Macross: War Stories)
