"Love Song" is the 52nd episode of Robotech and sixteenth episode of The Masters Saga.
Summary[]
What looks like a suicide mission is handed off to Rolf Emerson's command. Marie and Sean face a setback in their budding relationship.
Synopsis[]
Supreme Commander Anatole Leonard places his arch-rival, General Rolf Emerson, in command of a second offensive against the enemy. Despite conjecture to the contrary, Emerson rejects speculation that he is piloting a suicide squad. Yet all the officers appointed to the mission are those who consistently oppose Leonard's decisions, and the odds for success are very much against them this time. Still, Emerson is determined to return victorious.
Marie and Sean's important date becomes a disaster. The lieutenant finds Sean apparently involved with a girl from his past. Marie runs away. Sean tries to explain, but she departs with Emerson's fleet before he gets the chance.
