The MQ-88 Drone was a human-operated quadcopter. With a modular design, it had snap-in packages to allow it to carry detection equipment, manipulators, and even 9mm weapons. They are relatively new to the Robotech Defense Force and often derided as toys. They have become invaluable for detecting mines or patrolling areas that would normally put life in danger. The drones had a Top Speed of 55 kph with an endurance of approximately 1 hour with an electric battery.
