The Malthi were an alien species that were kept as pets by some. One Malthi was named Hagane and was owned by the Praxian Bela. When the signals between her pack and their shuttle failed, Bela sent Hagane to the shuttle to deliver a message. (Robotech II: The Sentinels: Cut Off)
