Mars was the fourth planet from the sun. It was right behind Earth in its star system.

History[]

During the previous Global War, before the First Robotech War, a base was made on it, Mars Base Sara, to test Zentraedi reversed engineered technology, which was located and attacked by them, leaving no survivors. It was eventually visited by the SDF-1 to gather more supplies, with Lisa was sent to get them. The SDF-1 was captured by gravity mines, set up by a Zentraedi unit, lead by Khyron. The SDF-1 eventually found away to destroy the mines and escape. (Macross Saga: Bye-Bye Mars)

After the First Robotech War, it was colonized again, and it was the home of Scott Bernard and the Earth Reclamation Force's Mars Divisions during the Third Robotech War. (The New Generation)
