Nereg was a Zentraedi Scientist who worked with Khyron to trap Breetai in a Combat Simulator. After Breetai began to break free of the simulator's illusion, Khyron shot Nereg and left a Plasma Grenade to take out Breetai and Nereg to cover his tracks. Nereg used his last moments of life to launch Breetai into space to be saved, before the Grenade took out the areas of the ship Nereg was in.
