The Orion, was an experimental SHC-08 Star Goose used by the RDF in the mid 00s.
In June of 2005 in orbit of Earth, Captain Louise Mayhew and Dr. Harris Seuling were onboard the Achilles to work on bringing it online. A crew of construction workers for the Achilles were send down to Earth on the Orion as it performed a test but the third thruster didn't turn off it, forcing it to have an emergency splashdown in the ocean. Roy Fokker was sent out to rescue it and as rescue ships are too far to help, Roy calls out to the Lemurians as they owe him for helping them and says they'll be protected. Roy arrived and the Orion was taking on water and only a dozen got off in life boats. After Roy fired on the sharks coming after the life boats, the Lemurians equip flotation devices to the Orion that will self destruct in 2 minutes so the RDF couldn't trace them. Roy used a cable to raise the ship and thanked them but they say not to ask them again. Roy recognized Virgil Smythe as the pilot who he knew prior.
