A Particle-beam weapon was a device that used a high-energy beam of atomic or subatomic particles to damage the target by disrupting its atomic and/or molecular structure. It was a type of directed-energy weapon, which directed energy in a particular and focused direction using particles with negligible mass. In Robotech they were often used in Starships during warfare.
