The "Regent" reveals himself. (Robotech II: The Sentinels: The Dance of Death)
When the Invid Regent agreed to come to the SDF-3 for peace-negotiations, instead of actually risking his life by going himself, he and his men created a clone of himself. This clone went in his place to meet up the Robotech Expeditionary Force, most notably T.R. Edwards. (Robotech II: The Sentinels: The Dance of Death) Though a clone of the Regent, he was not controlled by the original, but had his own individual characteristics. He was much less subtle than the original, and on one occasion threatened Edwards when he had been ordered to attempt to lure him. He also grew an obsession with Lynn Minmei after hearing her sing on the ship, which totally baffled his originator. He even went as far as to demand Minmei in a peace deal.
He was killed by Tesla in a fit of rage, which forced the real Regent to act as if he had died to continue tricking the REF.
