Rem was a male Tirolian who was secretly a clone of Zor: the founder of Robotechnology.
During the Regent's assault on Tirol, he and Cabell managed to survive in their secret lab, and contacted the REF when they arrived, and subsequently joined the Sentinels.
When the Sentinels arrived at Haydon IV, he was brought before the Regent, who revealed the truth.
