Robotech: Aftermath 11: The Belmont Saga is the eleventh title in the alternate continuity Robotech: Aftermath line. It introduces the stories of Scott Bernard's friends after the Third Robotech War and centers on the peaceful location of Belmont.
Summary[]
Burt worried about getting a job as Wendy comforted him as no one starved in Belmont, only to burn the food she was cooking. Burt went out thinking how old man Mortimer at the Souks was hiring a Dresser and he might save up enough if he started now, but saw a Zentraedi going through his garbage. When he confronted him over it, the youth threw trash at him and said he was Feld Sossana and threw more refuse at him before leaving. At Morty and Akbar, Mr. Mortimer told Burt he gave the job to his son in law who returned from service and Mortimer and his cousin Mohammed told how the winter made things rough for jobs until spring. Mortimer's son in law Vivek Allinin came in and upon seeing he was Zentraedi, Burt was enraged as he gave the job and his daughter to a "Trod" when many real people went without and ran off after telling off the son in law for his kind taking over. Elsewhere, Sera gave Annie an exam after the Mordecai encounter and found she had the insides of a schoolkid after being restored by the Xalon Process. Later, Rand was eating soup and told Sera how he had to go to the Water Works as a Watchman and invited Annie. Elsewhere, Burt was bummed over having no work for 6 months and being no good and Sergeant Bill Cortez of the Belmont Corps arrived and revealed he was sent by Mr. Mortimer. He offered Burt help but being from Texas, Burt didn't want welfare, but Cortez revealed he too was from Texas and it was hard work in the Corps. Annie drove Rand to the plant in a Jeep and after a wild ride, made it there while Annie mentioned how Lunk had outdone himself. Burt went on the Belmont Corps Bus and the only seat was next to Feld which caused a clash but Cortez settled it by telling them he was in charge and were going to the Labor Unit by the Water Works. At the Water Works, Rand and Mint looked at the massive job Lunk had done to make a sewage system that carried waste water and filth to the fields, which was the biggest construction job since the last Space War and both wondered about Rook. At the labor yard they saw that no one starved in Belmont as they all had work doing maintenance on roads and systems or chores for neighbors. Before the group went to the Mess Hall, Feld ran off after having enough of it despite protests of Burt. When discovering Feld had gone missing, Cortez went to Rand for help but a Contamination alarm went off and there was a search for him. By nightfall, Burt was searching the Spill Trench Facility and fell in the water, only to be saved by Feld who revealed he had been sleeping there and thought about how he began the tiff between them with his actions. The search party found them and the leak near them. Later Rand, Sera Lunk and Mint talked of the experience and how the filters weren't fine enough and the sludge built up at the back of the elbow and blew when he opened the valve. At Burt's place he invited Feld who he gave a Texas Dinner. Later, Messenger pigeons came in and Lancer told his Belmont allies that the Megaroad Convoy with Scott, Rook and Nova made it to Grorie. Elsewhere, The SDF-Mordecai made it to the Andromeda Galaxy under the leadership of Dr. Gilles Vaudell.
