"Robotech: MechAngel 3: War in the Wastelands" is the final issue of Robotech: MechAngel, released in 1996.
Plot summary[]
Dante comes out from hiding with Claw and goes to a Burger place to talk. He tell the backstory he knew of Lyss how she fought for the Zentraedi and was in Khyron's attack on the SDF-1. After surrendering and being Micronized, she was in Camp Alpha when the Malcontent Uprisings happened. She joined the 23rd Platoon and fought the Scavengers hidden base, but still couldn't get any respect from the Humans. Later she and fellow 23rd members Zade and Bomar became Scavengers, but after Bomar as harvesting Zentraedi organs and selling them to Frost. Frost was in the military until the Brasilia Massacre and after leaving, gained followers by saying he could protect the people from Malcontents when the ASC couldn't. Frost also got into science and began ideas of grafting Zentraedi tissue to Humans. He recruited other scientists, including Angelo's dad but after Lyss killed Bomar, she stayed there and was caught and experimented on. Dr. Dante secretly reduced her medication and helped her escape and she became a dancer but wanted revenge and came after the scientists. Dr. Dante was 1st and he made her a power suit called Mechangel to take on Frosts group. She became a Mercenary but came by Dr. Dante's place once or twice a year but when Angelo found a connection to Frost in the arena fights as he'd harvest organs from dead fighters. Dr. Dante worried Frost would come for him and reached out to Lyss but she never came and he was killed. Angelo thought Lyss abandoned them and went on to stop Frost himself, but Claw contacts the GMP to raid Daugherty's place. Lyss gets to Daugherty 1st and makes him send an Email to Frost then executes him. 24 hours later, she fights Frost who came in a Valkyrie and easily ends him. Days later Lyss has Claw send a Video Tape to Angelo saying she's staying in the Southlands and wishes him well. Angelo decides to keep the Video Cassette as he may never meet anyone like her again
