Plot summary[]

Mayor Luan gives a conference about the Gleason Incident and says he's making a special liaison for Robotechnology and appointing Geoff Davies. Geoff says despite being in Faithful, he won't let that affect his decisions but Lang and Roy watch the broadcast and remark how Davies has little actual power. Lang has Roy take on some duties of Curt Leiden until a replacement can be found and brings Roy to the submarine Omega Three, far below the island. The Omegas are 3 locations/vehicles that contain backups to all RDF work and even Lang doesn't know where the other 2 are located. Suddenly, the Omega 3 departs despite Lang's commands but when it goes by a RDF Automated Monitor, the Monitor goes up. Lang theorizes that the Monitor is the one sending the signal to take over the Omega as its actually from another power and has replaced the RDF one. Lang gets Roy a weapon from a locker that isn't connected to the computer and after hotwiring the airlock, Roy goes out in a wetsuit to fight the Monitor, which launches a torpedo at him. Lang dumps the Floppy Disks of back up data out the airlock as a distraction and when the Monitor goes after them, Roy takes it out. On Macross Island, Anatole Leonard meets with Davis about Davis wanting to have both factions of Faithful work together. As Davis is the Liaison of Robotechnology, he can spread Faithful's views to the world government, and with Nina Lang of Absolute Zero doing ads for them, they can achieve their goals without violence. Davis has sources that Leonard's people fired the Missile at Roy's Veritech and busted up Nina's room, but despite Davies's desire to work together, Leonard declines and leaves.
