Robotech: Return to Macross 24: Capturing The Flag is the twenty-fourth issue of Robotech: Return To Macross, released in 1995. It also features an interview with series creator Carl Macek ahead of the tenth anniversary of the saga's release.

Plot summary[]

The assassins who shot Dr Wilbur dump the black mini van in the sea and on MBS Newswatch, Clayton Fortenspeil says how because of rising violence, there are dusk to dawn curfews, as well as the Wilbur assassination. Commissioner Walter St. John says peaceful expressions are allowed but they must stop the violence. Leonard wonders how things went this way and how to take advantage of it and Jessica comes in saying Stein and Talbot killed Wilbur and that she has taken care of the evidence. Leonard says they chose to take him out of their own initiative and she thinks they can't be trusted as they might go off mission again. But Leonard says they can still use them and turning them in would be a mistake, as well as he wants Jesse to be a Liaison between him and them. The news reports that Geoff Davies says that Wilbur wanted to call for peace and the next day Roy is doing a Valkyrie test and worried about Claudia thinking he's with Nina as well as the dispute with Nina and Emil. The Flyer Diner had been closed for a time due to the murder investigation. Stein and Talbot get a new van and sleep in it to hide out and as protests continue, Emil suggests Brian Bernard postpones his trip to Macross Island but he decides to come anyway. Talbot and Stein bust into Nina's apartment at gunpoint and say "bang, your dead". Mitchell Wright interviews Napoleon Russo who praised Dr. Wilbur's pro peace stance and declares his faith in Henry Gloval and Tommy Luan. The next day Nina calls Roy and he and Emil Land go to her apartment to find she's been kidnapped, which enrages Emil, who then asks Roy for help finding her.
