Plot summary[]
Brian Bernard checks into the Hotel Millennium and video calls Emil Lang. Lang is busy with a Family emergency so he has Janet Fein at the Institute handle him. Meanwhile, Nina Lang is being bound and drugged in a cold place and Emil stresses and waits. The captors call him and tell him to come to the roof and Emil calls Roy before heading up. On there is a computer with a communication feed that shows Nina alive and tied up. The monitor tells Lang if he wants his sister to live, he is to allow 2 men access to the SDF-1 in 24 hours. The device self-destructs as Roy come up and in a catering van, Jesse tells Leonard she ended the contact but is sure Lang heard the demands and Leonard says they have 3 days until the next maintenance crew comes. Also Stein and Talbot are with Nina. Roy flies in the Valkyrie to track the signal from the device that contacted Lang and Lang goes to meet another device to talk with the kidnapper. Lang says he needs fingerprints and photographs to make ID's for the men and not until Nina is released. The kidnapper replies and says this may cost Nina her life and the device self-destructs too. Roy tracks the signal from the van nearby and follows it to the onee of the Uplink Stations on the island used to contact the Moon Base and Armor class ships. Roy attacks the uplink dish to trigger a signal for the RDF to investigate and Stein attacks with a gun. Roy busts him with the Veritech's arm and Talbot and Jessie arrive. Jess knows Leonard told them not to contact him and if they lose Nina the plan is over, so she attacks the Valkyrie with a Venom Mini Missile. Roy fires on the van and it flips and blows. Roy rescues Nina and while she is into him, he tells her he's not as he has Claudia, and that he rescued her for her brother. 2 days later Tim Holland has the MBS Debate between Nina and Emil Lang and Nina says its wrong to be against the RDF trying to figure out the SDF-1 because you fear it, and to not try to stop them out of fear. Leonard feels he's lost and after the program, Emil introduces her to his new assistant Dr. Brian Bernard.
