Robotech: The Roleplaying Game Book Six: The Return of the Masters is an adventure book published as part of Palladium Books' first edition. It introduces rules for Mecha Su-Dai as well as adventure ideas.

It was re-released in 1998 as an expanded edition with additional adventures and seven new mecha.

Storyline[]

The book is set in 2039, after the Third Robotech War.

A group of Robotech Masters -Tarrow, Lyra, and Sylak - find refuge with a surviving Zentraedi enclave in the Indochina Quadrant, where a group of Invid returnees have setup a network of hives to harvest Protoculture.

Additionally, survivors from the Earth Reclamation Force have setup a hidden base in the area.

Thailand Pit[]

The characters must explore the Thailand Genesis Pit and avoid being killed by the mutated insects.

A Lonely Caller[]

Every 48 hours, a Precision Engineering Drone sends out a report The characters must investigate before it completes the repairs of the Zentraedi Carrier and contacts the G-95 Super Robotech Factory. The hidden Robotech Masters and the Invid are also looking for it.

It is suggested that the Masters arrive first and rig the carrier to explode as a trap for the Invid.

Departure from Earth (Part 1)[]

LT Arnold Wells' search team has fallen under attack. However, the characters are 400 miles away. They eventually find the officer and two survivors; they must then recon the Masters base.

They discover the Masters' plan to leave Earth and meetup with the Super Factory.

Men on the Moon (Part 2)[]

Once the characters arrive back at the Overwatch base, they make plans to intercept the Super Factory themselves. They are then sent to Moon Base Copernicus where they are briefed and outfitted by Professor Retarf.

They soon discover that it is powered by the sentient computer Hypercomp.

It is suggested that the Factory survives the mission, with Hypercomp possibly space folding away to review its interactions with the Humans and Masters.

Cruel Legacy (Expanded Edition)[]

Gregov Netyaba escapes from the Masters' factory during the celebration and encounters Earth Forces.

As they search for the factory, they are attacked by the Armies of Cyran, who hate all micronians.

They then find the factory. It is suggested that the encounter takes place after the Masters leave to meet with Hypercomp so it is lightly defended.
