Robotech: Warriors 1: Here There Be Dragons is the first issue in the Robotech: Warriors Academy Comics series. The story follows Breetai as he explores the planet Rel'nar.
Plot summary[]
Dolza recounted on Breetai's mission to find Zor's Battlefortress. Breetai went to Rel'nar in his Officer Battlepod and wondered if he should even be there while pondering on his options of wiping out the planets surface but didn't as he wanted to see the situation personally. After shooting down homing missiles that Breetai did not expect the natives to have the technology to make, he was shot down and awoke tied to the ground. The implant allowed him to understand the natives language and he met Chun'Da who he communicated with. Upon learning he was a prisoner of their leader Tal'Yo, he attempted to break free of his bondage but Chun'Da advised him not to so as to avoid injury and asked if he knew of the monsters that plagued them. 1 native thought there was a connection to the Invid and Breetai and Breetai found his Battlepod was being studied by natives. There were in a military base near the capital city of Mar'Peth and the leader thought Breetai might be the monsters creator. One of the monsters approached and Breetai revealed it might be a creation of The Invid and as they shared a common foe, he could fight it for them, Chun'Da released Breetai who did well against the creature but lost upon being shot by an Invid Shocktrooper and carried away by it and another.

- Breetai's thought of laying waste to the planet to wipe out the Invid menace would be done a few years later in the Rain of Death on Earth.
