"Robotech 3D 1: Booby Trap!" was a comic released by Comico in 1985. It was based off of Robotech episode "Boobytrap".

Changes from source material[]
- It starts with a flashback to the Global War, stating it was in the fifth year, and that nuclear warfare had erupted in the middle east, germ warfare was raging in Eurasia.
- Extra dialogue between Gloval and Russo.
- Breetai and Exedore refer to Zor's "memory-scan" and call the planet "Dirt". They also refer to its primitive technology and says it doesn't show a Langston field.
- Lynn Minmei does not appear.
- Expanded dialogue in the initial firepower exchange between the Zentraedi and RDF spaceships.
- The VF-1D Valkyrie that Rick flies is called VT-10.
