Robotech 9 is the ninth issue of the 2017 Titan Comics Robotech comic series released in June 2018. It shares plot points with "First Contact," but makes significant changes.
Summary[]
Azonia has arrived to reinforce the Zentraedi fleet and informs Breetai that Dolza has grown angry with him.
On the SDF-1, the crew searches for answers. Captain Lisa Hayes is called to the bridge for a Code Red after they fix their comms and pick up a distress call from back on Mars.
Hayes orders Vermillion Squadron to go back to Mars on a recon mission in the new Super Valkyries. Kramer goes along. On Mars, they discover a bunker, but become trapped and are captured by the Zentraedi. Breetai single-handedly subdues the Vermillion battloids, and is complemented by Dolza.
Aboard the Zentraedi flagship, Rick Hunter reveals he has gone blind.
