"The Havesting" is the fifth issue of Robotech Genesis: The Legend of Zor, the Robotech-prequel comic series released by Eternity Comics comics in September 1992.

Plot summary[]

After a civil war, the Resistance is crushed due to the Zentraedi owned by the Tirolian Empire but at the cost of most of their Protoculture. As using the Pollinators would take too long, Nimuul sends Zor to take all the Flowers of Life from Optera. Nimuul worries that as the Invid have evolved into a new forme since Zor's visit, they may use the Protoculture to overthrow the Empire. Zor goes along with their orders as he plans to use their own overconfidence against them. The Invid have evolved to follow a facsimile of Tirolian Culture that The Regess got from Zor but it caused a rift between her and The Regent. She senses him coming and goes to greet him but The Regent knows Zor is not the one who gave them the flowers as he took some and had he given them, he would not need them. The Zentraedi use Harvesters to take the flowers from Optera but using her connection with him, the Regess sends a psychic attack that torments Zor into calling off the mission before all the flowers are taken. Bent on revenge, The Regess and Regent make new kinds of Invid to fight for them.
