"Checkmate" is the title of the 72st issue of Robotech II: The Sentinels. It is a loose adaptation of an episode of the original Sentinels series, which was never produced.
Plot summary[]
The Sentinels use a daring plan that involves Tesla in order to try to free Spheris; on Tirol, Lieutenant Rebecca Nicks and a mysterious man try to find and free Lynn Minmei while the trial of Breetai, Wolf and Grant continues and then turns against General Edwards.
