The Scorpion Assault Carrier was a Starship used by the Invid Regent during his attack on Tirol.
Other Scorpion Assault Carriers were seen in Invid fleets usually consisting of an Invid Flagship, a few Scorpion Assault Carriers, and numerous Invid Carriers.
It was an extremely powerful and versatile type of ship. The class had foldspace capability and therefore could make FTL jumps, was able to operate in the atmosphere, and with its six legs had a degree of the functionality on the ground.
Scorpion Assault Carriers had two heads with laser cannons in the mouth, each of which could split a starship in half with a laser bolt up to 100,000 miles away in space. The eyes on those heads fired laser beams with a 50,000-mile range in space. The scorpion tails could not only slash a starship but they also had laser cannons, though short ones with an 8-mile range only in space.
