Comico

Lieutenant Commander Scott Bernard was a squadron leader in the 21st Mars Division. During the failed second Earth Reclamation Force mission against the Invid, he spearheaded the mission, but his fiancee's Marlene Rush's ship was destroyed.

Bernard landed on Earth, the sole survivor. He vowed to continue the mission to Reflex Point. In short order, he met Rand, Rook Bartley, Lunk, Annie LaBelle, and Lance Belmont, forming the core of the Robotech Rebels. During the next year, they traveled to Reflex Point and fought the Invid along the way. They also found Ariel.

During the third Earth Reclamation mission, the rebels were instrumental in convincing the Regess to depart.
