Scott Fielder also known as Salamander is a Hacker who was in the Global War in America and was an ally of Brian Bernard.
Biography[]
In the Global War in fall in 1998, Millers Militia took over Los Angeles and San Francisco. Brian Bernard and his parents were in San Bernadino and tried to escape to the Internationalist Force on the coast but they were killed and Brian was going to be enslaved. But Fielder got to him 1st and was Millers Tech Wizard who kept the Power and Phones working. But really he was using is position with Miller to work against him. Brian fought for the Salamander Unit and after The Internationalist freed the city, he went to college but said if there's anything he can do to repay Fielder, he'd do it.
In May of 2005 he tried to hack into a system and thought of how Brian Bernard keeping his promise would help him. He messaged Brian under his alias Salamander to meet him on the Monorail at 9 PM. At the meeting he told Brian he's been on Macross Island for 3 weeks and is here to help him. He stayed low until the issues with Anti Tech protesters and Dr. Wilbur was over and how Nina Lang's speech helped things. Fielder wanted Brian's help to hack into the SDF-1 Computers and only needed 1 minute to hack in and using the access codes Brian can get him. Brian got time to thought of it and talked with Nina that night about how Fielder calls himself Salamander as they are said to live in the fires like how Brian and him used to be. Nina said not to help him but Brian told how Salamander saved him and was conflicted as he doesn't wanna risk his job, but owes Fielder so much. Later Fielder gets access to the SDF-1 Computers by guessing Brian's Password but |Emil Lang called Brian and says he got a security alert that a computer in Brian's office linked to the Alien Computer. As Brian was at home Lang asked if he knows of it and Brian says yes and to try to break the link. Fielder got zapped and changed and Brian reported to Lang and tells him he knows Salamander but he didn't give him his code. Lang believes him and says Salamander's life might be in danger as when Lang used an Alien Computer for the 1st time, there were side effects. The hack lasted for 1 Minute 45 Seconds and Brian claims Salamander cracked his password, which was Nina.(Robotech: Return to Macross: One Minute)
In June of 2005 Reynaldo Da Silva met with Salamander and brought him burgers. Salamander disliked having to stay in the shadows and Da Silva said his employer will need his hacking skills and can help get him to the mainland (Robotech: Return to Macross: Making A Big Splash)
In July Da Silva sent Virgil Smythe to aid Salamander who took him to Glittering Star where he tapped in on the feed of a call between Henry Global and Admiral Hayes using high tech equipment such as a Japanese Prototype deemed too costly to put into production. Salamander hacked into the systems and learned of The Invid coming but had no plans on telling his employers as he had longer term plans. After speaking with Da Silva about how he's set up protection for hacking into the RDF Computers on Macross Island that lead them to think its from Mexico City, Johannesburg or Kiev, Da Silva invited Salamander to the Casino to gamble. He also downloaded a list from Hayes that Virgil found out was fake after finding a different list at Lisa's apartment.
Da Silva had Salamander download weather data under the request of Mr. Costanza and they gotta plan for the storms affecting the Concert. Salamander said he's helping them as they helped him but he has no desire to bring back national boundaries and nearly slips how national boundaries won't do anything against the coming Invid, but stopped himself before letting too much out. Da Silva then was called up and introduces Salamander to Janus Criswell and Brenda Woods. They meet Costanza, the owner of the Glittering Star and Criswell wanted to hear from Salamander of the areas of the SDF-1 he didn't explore. At night Salamander downloads his personal files and wanted to leave a virus but there's not enough time. He sent a message to Nina and Emil Lang and looked into Criswell and Woods to find Criswell is a world class scientist and Woods is a world class assassin and Costanza and Da Silva were going to end him. Roy Fokker sneaked around the ship and found Salamander being confronted by guards. Salamander claimed he was here to meet Woods for some fun but she's having dinner with Costanza and they are going to bring him in. Roy intervened and fought them to nab Salamander but a guard pulled a gun and Roy jumped in the sea and swam to shore as Salamander escaped. At Club Pulse Brian Bernard met Nina and shows her a message he got from Salamander saying to stay away from The Glittering Star and that Da Silva is dangerous and Nina wants to find out more by going to the concert. On the day of the concert, After Virgil shot Da Silva An alarm went off and the ship is evacuated as Salamander hacked in and triggered the Fire Alarms to aid them. (Robotech: Return to Macross: Achille's Heel)
