The H-62 Sea Sergeant was a heavy-lift helicopter used by the Robotech Defense Force of the twenty-year old H-62 series. It could carry up 50 troops or 32,000 pounds. It was built in the SH-62 and HH-62 variants and received service life extension upgrades after the SDF-1 crashed on Earth. ("Palladium RPG")
According to one source, MBS used one in 2005 to film an incident. (Robotech: Return To Macross)
During the attack on Macross Island, Commander Lisa Hayes ordered the Sea Sergeant Helicopters to launch from the CVS-101 Prometheus to investigate a disturbance. They were shot down by the approaching Zentraedi mecha. (Macross Saga: Countdown)
More were later used to reload materials onto the SDF-1 after the original offer to take the citizens into Ontario was taken back due to the overload of the Omni-Directional Barrier System and the destruction of the city around (Macross Saga: Paradise Lost)
They continued to be used in recovery operations and heavy lifting in the Reconstruction Era. (Robotech: Battlecry).
