Seloy Deparra was the Zentraedi who delivered Miriya Sterlin to the SDF-1 in 2010. (Macross Saga: "Bursting Point") Miriya and Seloy remained friends for many years after the end of the First Robotech War, until Seloy's town was attacked by the ASC and she was presumed dead. Years later, in 2018, Seloy would create a strand of Malcontents to rise up against and destroy the Micronians, seeing them as a threat to her kind as the species became greatly mistreated. She and her son were killed by Miriya by accident as she turned on her once-friend for turning to a side she saw as wrong. Her son was apparently the offspring of her and Anatole Leonard, a mysterious fact, as Leonard was supposedly by these accounts incredibly xenophobic.
