Stein was a man who did jobs for Anatole Leonard during the 00s.
Biography[]
In April 2005 after Stein and Martin Talbot assassinated Dr. Conrad Wilbur and dumped the black mini van in the sea, Leonard revealed to Jessie Powell that they did it of their own accord and said he could still use them and wouldn't turn them in. He had Jesse be a Liaison between them and him and has Talbot and Stein capture Nina Lang. (Robotech: Return To Macross: Capturing The Flag)
Leonard used self destructing video terminals to send messages to Emil Lang with instructions on what to do to get his sister back but Lang and Roy tracked the signal to the Uplink Station used to contact the Moon Base and Armor class ships. In a catering van, Jesse told Leonard she ended the contact but is sure Lang heard the demands and Leonard said they had 3 days until the next SDF-1 maintenance crew came. Roy flew in the VF-1 Valkyrie to track the signal from the device that contacted Lang and Lang went to meet another device to talk with the kidnapper. Lang said he needed fingerprints and photographs to make ID's for the men and not until Nina is released. The kidnapper said this may cost Nina her life and the device self destructed. Roy tracked the signal from the van nearby and followed it to the Uplink Station used to contact Moon Base ALUCE and Armor class ships. Roy attacked the uplink dish to trigger a signal for the RDF to investigate and Stein attacked with a gun. Roy busted him with the Veritech's Arm and Talbot and Jessie arrived. Jess knew Leonard told them not to contact him and if they lost Nina the plan was over, so she attacked the Valkyrie with a Venom Mini Missile. Roy fires on the van and it flipped and blew apart (Robotech: Return To Macross: Paying The Price).
