The Tango-7 Explosive was a highly reactive item that could cause large scale damage when detonated.
During the Liberation of Karbarra, Lisa Hunter used a collar of Tango-7 Explosive on Tesla to force him to aid them in their plan by having him tell the Invid Brain to stand down to allow them to come in uninhibited to attack the Invid.
During the war with the Invid, Kathryn Hix seduced and murdered Jonny Craigle to get her hands on some Tango-7 Explosive. (Robotech II: The Sentinels: The Dance of Death)
