Tirol was the homeworld of the Robotech Masters. Tiresia was Tirol's capital city and in its center was a pyramidal structure called the Great Hall, which was the seat of the planetary government. There was also a mining outpost not far from Tiresia called Rylac.
Tirol was the third moon of the planet Fantoma located in the Valivarre star system.

Robotech Art 3 provides an alternate spelling for the name given during pre-production which is Tyrol.
