The Genia during flight tests
The VF-X-6 Genia was a prototype Veritech fighter. It underwent flight evaluations at New Macross City in 2015, piloted by Max Sterling. The VF-X-6 was competing against the YF-4 Lightning to replace the VF-1 Valkyrie.
By 2022, the VF-6 Alpha Fighter had become the main fighter for the Robotech Expeditionary Force.
