The VFX-66 Omega Valkyrie was an experimental Veritech with a human pilot wired into it in the Robotech Defense Force during the First Robotech War as part of a secret project.
Biography[]
During the First Robotech War, the Earth Gov didn't know what Breetai's forces were capable of so they made a system of 6 horribly maimed pilots and linked them to the Veritechs for direct control. The 1st 5 died but the 6th was sent to Edwards base in California where he was built into the one of a kind mech VFX-66 Omega Valkyrie built in secret for the Omega Project. The gov chopped Charles Brautigan up and soaked him in pure Protoculture then wired him to the controls. He was sent on a test flight across the ocean but went off course to return home to Ohio, where his family lived before the war. On 13 October, 2012, he was near the Alaska Base, and attempted to contact Edwards. General Granger replied and attempted to order him but he closed the channel. Granger tried to get him back but was obliterated in the Rain of Death. Omega Six tried to make it to his location but it was wiped out in the enemy attacks and the AI had Error messages. He wanted to go home but was blasted out of the sky by Zentraedi Lasers and in 2047 awoke from a generations long coma with only 2 desires: Home and defeat the enemy, so he mistook the town of Rightfield and wiped it out. The Zentraedi Female Sarya Min-Qadderaq worked with Scott Bernard and his Megaroad crew to handle the mech but it took out one of the Vehicles and killed Victor Chen. Sarya ran up and the AI had errors between the program and the pilot's desires and she stabbed it in the face and called him by his name, Charles Brautigan, and saw he was in suffering. She used her swords to end him and his lingering consciousness thanked her for letting him go home (Robotech: Aftermath: Ghost Machine).
