"Volunteers" is the 40th and fourth episode of Robotech: The Masters.
Summary[]
Marie Crystal and Dana Sterling volunteer their teams to reestablish communication with Space Station Liberty.
Synopsis[]
To cover their impending invasion, the Robotech Masters have interrupted the communications link between United Earth Command Headquarters and its strategic orbital outpost, Space Station Liberty. The United Earth Command decides that a team of Robotech defenders will have to be deployed to reestablish communications and to test the strength of the invaders. Lieutenant Marie Crystal of the tactical armored space corps and Lieutenant Dana Sterling volunteer to carry out the mission.
In the course of the battle to regain the post, Dana sees the red bioroid that has been the focus of her disturbing visions. It is an unusual mecha, but Marie and Dana manage to defeat it and rout the invaders from the space station.
Communications between United Earth Command Headquarters and Space Station Liberty are reestablished.
Memorable quotes[]
- Dana: "I volunteered our squads for the mission because I think we can handle it. And I wouldn't have done that if I thought anything terrible was going to happen to any of us."
- Bowie: "You believe me now Lt?"
Dana: "I never said I didn't." - Bowie: "It seems yours, mine and Angelo's are the only Hovertanks missing."
Sean: "I'll bet that Neanderthal Angelo's the one who's behind all this." - Marie: "Even though it's your 1st time in space Lt, there's no need to come apart at the seems."
- Marie: "I've never seen anything this big before."
Dana: "Uh, excuse me, what was that Lt?"
Marie: "Ahh, paying complete attention to practically nothing today, aren't we Lt?" - Marie: " You can't win! You're not even Human!" (Marie at The Red Bioroid)
