Westlake was a Human on-board the Robotech Expeditionary Force. He joined the Sentinels and traveled on the Farrago to Karbarra. When the Battle between the REF and Invid Inorganics broke out, he manned a gun on the Farrango and opened fire on the enemy and was told by a fellow member to keep the aim close to the ship and not hit any Karbarrans (Robotech II: The Sentinels: Assault on Karbarra).
