Yellow Squadron was a VF-1 Valkyrie unit aboard the SDF-1.
The Robotech Expeditionary Force deployed Yellow-Squadron as a collection of SFA-5 Conbat Fighters used by the 10th Mars Division during an early attempt to levitate the Earth from the Invid. Lance Belmont lead the squadron during the 2038 attempt, but was shot down to Earth during an enemy ambush, where he was found by Carla, who disguised and protected him.
